Ankara x Denim – Admist the holidays

Ankara x Denim – Admist the holidays

Hello lovlies,

How are you enjoying your holidays? I hope it’s full of all the fun you hoped for? If you ask me, am having a swell time this season. You know that saying that goes “the best holidays are the ones you usually don’t plan for” that’s a typical reference of my holiday. My nuclear family came back from Lagos to the village for the holidays, my extended fam came from far and abroad. Like I said in my previous post it’s more like a reunion. Going for events with fam, catching up and cracking jokes with fam, eating all your favorite dishes, resting and partying 😜What more can you ask from a holiday ? 😊

Holidays affects our style in some sorta ways, it’s never serious, it’s all about fun, flirty, prints, sequins and bright Colours. My style today is a mixture of denim and Ankara from my holiday lookbook.

This look be giving me major positive vibes, from the skirt patterns to the sneakers to the shades and ofcourse my big hair 😜. The Ankara skirt is a versatile one, you can style it casually like I did or take it to the office corporately or even style it for other events. In a later post I will restyle the skirt. I decided to pair mine with a denim top and sneakers to achieve a fashion forward, contemporary look.

Am beginning to step up my game in my postures lol, tell me you guys ain’t feeling my pose 😉 . My Prada shades was purchased from my course mate who always stocks nice quality shades for men and women. My reebok sneakers was gotten from a random boutique in Enugu. And my masterpiece Ankara skirt is from the awesome Victoria Charles. I personally can’t get enough of this look, am so loving it. My photographer, Nuggy defined my look as dope, my assistants Steph and Amaka said it to be fashion foward.

    • Sharon – you should be so proud of yourself! It is your drive and determination that got you here. So many people have an idea but so few have the courage to make it happen! Coglratunations! I have no doubt you will be celebrating many more successes in the years to come.
