Happy new month!
🎧Currently listening to “loyalty” by Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna. 🎼🎧
that’s how October that started the other day has finished… hmm! Well November, I have a good feeling about you. You seem wild, but I just know you’ll bring good tidings. And may my expectations come to manifestations. What about you guys? How do you feel about this month?
On motivation, I made a post about encouraging yourself on Instagram this morning, if you follow me you know. It goes like this “consistency is harder when no one is clapping for you, you must clap for yourself during those times, you should always be your biggest fan”. This is very true, and I used to be a victim. I used to complain of how long I have done this or that or how hard I have worked for this and I haven’t gotten many readers on my blog or followers or anyone pat me at my back and say oh u doing great or anyone say am your fan and it just made me reluctant towards the things I was supposed to be working for. But one day I came across a video clip on Instagram that said this quote in a different way and it motivated me. I started evaluating the little far I had gone, and I was so happy and proud of myself, I said to myself ‘you’re just 21 and you have done this? (Then I was 21) and I clapped for myself. To be honest I don’t know where the proud feeling came from, but the little I had done encouraged me to do more. And you know what I found out? When people saw I was clapping for myself, they started to join me gradually. I hope this little quote and story of mine was able to motivate you not to let yourself down, it starts with you.
(PS ignore my folds, had beans and plantain few hours before taking this pic 😩🙈)
On fashion and style, I’ll be showing you how to spice up a simple white and denim look. White and denim is a basic go-to look. Everyone has a white and denim in her wardrobe. It’s that random. But how you style it can make you stand out.
You can choose to add a pop of Colour like I did with my orange bag or go monochromatic and match with white shoe and bag. You can also throw on some accessories like scarf, shades, belt, neckpiece, hat or face cap to spice it up. Be it a shirt or a polo, a white top adds sophistication to your jeans than a Coloured top. If you have a bad hair day, opt for an ankara scarf to give it a bit of an Afrocentric twist. Any which way you decide, make sure to keep your jewelry minimal.
I curated the this with just 5k. How amazing? The spaghetti top is 1000 naira in balogun market and the mom jeans is 4000 naira from Vintage 101 (@vintage101shop on ig) . I will say this again, you don’t have to go broke in looking good, and if you need more guidiance on how to spend lesss in looking good, keep up with me on Instagram and follow me on Snapchat (ada_styletitude) lets chit chat about it.
i don’t know why I wanted a pop of Colour but after pairing this look with my purple and orange shoe, the orange bag was a win. Threw on my best shades and viola i was set for the clicks 😁
